2/4 stud8

villian is not so good/semi-laggy who's been getting lucky lately. he raises early with something, but not necessarily something good. he likes any pair.

Re: 2/4 stud8

I'm done with this hand on 5th, mainly because his hand is unreadable.

If he is on a low, you are a small favorite. But what if he hits an ace or 6 on 6th? Did he pair, make a low, make 2 pair?

Did he make the 7s? In which case you are in bad shape.

Your reverse implied odds are terrible, and unless he has been playing every hand to the river regardless, this is an easy fold for me.

Very marginal situation. A reasonably case could be made for either folding, calling or raising. Given he tends to get out of line a bit, and the fact that he's the bringin makes me discount his hand enough to make me likely want to continue. If I continue in this spot, it's with a raise.

I think this is a fold. From the way has played to this point, I think it's fairly likely that the other guy has a pair larger than Fives. You're going to have to put in three bets to see if you can either outrun him or back into a low, and three of your cards for two pair are gone.

Doesn't matter who the villain is here, you have to fold. The villain could be playing his first hand ever of S8, you should still fold.
