Some NL200 hands

1. This guy is an unknown and seems bad, but not the type to call with any pair bad. Didn't slowplay either the set or flush he had earlier.

2. Villain is 2p2er pterodactyl6. Pretty active across tables. He's 3betting a lot in general and opening a ton. I think I've folded the couple times that he's 3bet me so far. I'm opening a ton also, especially from MP2 on. Would anyone play preflop differently? Whats my turn plan on a blank when he checks if we call the flop? what about when he shoves if we called flop? I have him at 16/12/4.67.

3. Button is slammedfire who spews and sucks. He bets this flop a ton if I check to him. If I cbet and get raised then it sucks imo. I know the standard is to cbet, but with him otb is this ok? Should I be c/c or c/r? He's 13.5/8 with a flop AF of 9.

1.not sure about this one...seems iffy
2. fold pre
3.bet flop...if villain is that spewy/agg shove to a flop raise...
4.bet flop. as played value bet river about $50....i dont mind the overbet though because a villain might interpret it as AK whiffing
5.3bet pre and then b/3b_ai on flop...

Re: Some NL200 hands

1. I think bettign 80 looks scarier than the push, but if this is standard for you, then looks OK. I think you get looked up weak a lot though from the flush missing.

2. Shove. He's 3-betting light = overpair is nuts.

3. I cbet here despite what you said, mainly because of so many people in the hand. Too big a chance he checks behind for free card. I'd bet, and reevaluate depending on who called or raised you.

4. Yuck. I just don't see any worse hands calling. Do you not give him credit for anything after he calls your 3bet? I don't like the flop check, but if I did, I'd raise turn here.

5. looks good

sobos can you explain what you mean on hand 5?

sobos 11-30-2007 04:45 PM

Re: Some NL200 hands

Villain raises 8% of hands, so my rough guess is that he's raising about 4% of hands UTG. This range includes TTJJ and maybe 99 and AJ, so AQs has rather good equity against this range. The more important point is that you have great FE against 99TTJJAK, especially after the flop. So, take the initiative and reraise preflop so that you can take down the pot after the flop on most flops. It's a higher variance line, but more +EV than calling. After the flop, you have great equity against all hands, and 3betting allin increases your FE, so just bet/3bet allin. Taking the lead makes it so that you have to showdown less often.

Re: Some NL200 hands

Bet more on the flop in hand 1.

Fold pf hand 2.

Lead flop hand 3.

Bet like $65 on the river hand 4. Your line looks FOS, but usually they're not going to call so much. Also bet/call flop usually.

Double barrel hand 5 IMO.

thanks.

Sabr, I'd shove to a raise in hand 5 if I fire again?

I really didn't like bet/calling the QQ hand and wasn't sure if sizing made that much of a difference on his call frequency with mid pairs. I'm pretty sure I'm never beat on the river.

Depends on the pot odds you are offered.

Basically, if you had a set or two pair, you'd probably keep firing to not give a free card, so checking there looks weak.
