Sandwhiched betweem fish and 2p2er semi deep, $200NL

Donk bettor is bad like 40/25/1. Button is solid regular/2p2er. I just called the flop bet in case donk bettor has nothing and to get away cheaply in case the solid player behind me wakes up. Is this OK or too weak? 2p2er could be value raising/isolating with a queen since I could be calling here with any pair and villain is likely weak too. I feel like raising the flop only serves as a way to prevent getting bluffed.

I don't like raising the flop. It's incredibly dry and whatever hand we might might stack on the flop will also get stacked on the turn.

pretty sick spot. I'd stack here with 100bbs. 200bbs is a bit tough

raising the first time around is good. if button is solid, he shouldnt be making a move after you raise bc the donkbetter is calling a raise so often. he should see the fact that you dont mind putting in 40bb as a sign of strength. if you make it 80 and he shoves over, its an easy fold.

So you're basically raising to prevent being bluffed off the best hand?

yes, but youre not always being bluffed. he can be value raising/"protecting" with a worse hand. raising allows us to make fewer mistakes.
