NL100: overpair on paired board vs turndonk

villain is 44/7/0.6 over 27 hands.

i know, my CB was too small. is turn fold too weak? his line looks so much like a 9... and he's a shortie, so call and reevaluate river makes no sense.

the cbet should have been a little bigger, but other than that i think this hand was played well, with his aggression being so low i think you have to give him credit.

I often find myself in weird spots like this. If you consider the opponents overall looseness combined with a short stack I'm willing to get it in here. I think a significant amount of the time you'll see weird 3x and 4x combos as well as some middle pairs. Additionally players like this will sometimes go nuts if they pick up a backdoor draw on the turn and try to bet you off "your AK" or some such. Also, hit a T on the river.

C-bet sizing is fine on this board. I rarely ever fold turn here though. Either call/call or just shove now w/ stacks.

I'd put him on a pair such as sevens here. If he had a nine, wouldn't he check again if he chose to c/c the flop? He likely sees a non-threatening card and chooses to push against that probable AK that LooseAggressive mentioned. Therefore, I'd shove the turn. I like the pf and flop play also.

it's 27 hands, that's no samplesize for AF, so his low AF could be very misleading... is this often enough a midpair or spadedraw or something strange to legitimate a push?
