Odd experience this weekend

I was over at the bike playing some Pan9 this weekend and 3 times a different girl came up to me and started chatting with me and whispered that she needed some cash and when I looked straight at her she smiled and said we could go out to my car. Are these girls working together? They seemed pretty young (mid 20's - early 30's is my guess), and fairly good looking. I've seen one of them around before (I think her name is Michelle) but not the other 2. I was surprised because it seemed so blatant - right up at the table. In the past I've gotten hints from girls who I've struck up conversations with and some outright propositions when we were walking but 3 girls in one day?

I would have a very difficult time not taking her up on that prospect. I love whores.

BINGO! We have a winner. Thats why I didn't move this thread to BBV, what the OP thought was an increase in prostitution is actually a known scam. I hate to say it, but he must be an easy mark for them to try this one three times, but he still has his wallet so I guess the world is balanced after all.

PS: PAN is -EV in more ways than one it seems.

Normally I would agree with this. But Bike MIGHT be different. First off, there was a latina lady that was doing this for a LONG time. She used the money mostly cause she was a horrible degenerate gambler and was able to keep in the action at low limit stud and mexican poker games. 2nd, hookers aren't entirely foreign to Bike. Third, Bike parking lot is flat and square. There is only one entrance in and out. Security staffs the main tower. It is a pretty difficult place to roll someone at their card and sucessfully get away with it. That said, odds are in favor of it being a scam(somewhere in the 70-30 range).

That said....phone number pls.

Guarantee 100% it wasn't a scam. As Sternroolz wrote one post ago the Bike parking lot is not conducive to this kind of thing. (Not that I park there anyways - I use valet at the front). This type of thing has been going on forever at the bike but I was surprised that this time it was so blatant. 3 different girls propositioning me right at the table, which had other players sitting there). Granted they did it subtly and quietly but still...

And yes, Pan9 is -EV but requires no thinking and is a fun game to blow some time at.

this was a scam that happened at Commerce, and I think also at Hollywood Park if I recall correctly. i think it was Private Joker who talked about it once, the guy got hurt pretty bad. I don't know about the Bike, but 3x in 1 day is too much of a coincidence.

A serious question - Rottersod - were you the ONLY one being propositioned by all 3? If so, I would watch my back closely for a little while. This "marketing" effort is now a little too targeted for comfort. Is someone putting these girls up to coming on EXCLUSIVELY to you?

I have no idea since they didn't come up to me all at once. The girl who's name I think is Michelle was hanging around the room but I didn't watch her.

My "no way this is some form of coincidence" radar is loudly going off. It could be, and probably is, nothing. On the other hand, is there anyone who would like to see your head on pike outside of town as a warning to others?

I would be on "high alert" with my "shields" up and my radar dialed up to max for a while, particular in the parking lot and on the drive home. I forget the name of the case, but it produced a classic quote: "Even paranoids can have enemies."

Again, its probably nothing, but a little alertness and extra caution appears warranted.

I fully admit I've never been to this place but I mean... come on.

This isn't exactly bizarre behavior for hookers. If we're taking action I'm plunking down a black on "They were hookers".

Re: Odd experience this weekend

Funny, I was propositioned this weekend at a B&M. I remember the second time I went, a young lady aksed me if a guy ever tried to offer me money to "spend time with him" at the casino. I told her it was only my second time, but no, of course not. She said, oh, it will happen sooner or later.

I remember thinking no possible way, she was a young, attractive girl, but I am middle aged, consider myself average looking but not someone that a guy is gonna propostion in the casino. Surprised as hell, this past weekend some guy offered me money to go to his room. WTF? I was dressed in jeans, sneakers, and a tshirt. Had no makeup no jewelry, just kind of went to have fun and be comfortable.

He actually came up to me 3 times, with a 'better offer" each time. I couldn't believe it, and I actually asked a young man at my table to walk me to my car when I left, didn't tell him why but I am sure he assumed I didn't want to get robbed. I thought this was very strange, as I don't think its possible for me to be mistaken for a working girl.

Off topic a little but watch out for this too.

A "heads up" for those of you who may be regular Home Depot customers.

Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has Turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you.

Here's how the scam works:

Two seriously good-looking 20-21 year-old girls come over to your car as you are packing your stuff into the trunk.
They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not to look.

When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say "No" and instead ask you for a ride to another Home Depot or Lowe's.

You agree and they get in the back seat.

On the way, they start having sex with each other. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and performs oral sex on you, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen April 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, & 24th. Also May 1st, 3rd, twice on the 7th, three times just yesterday and very likely again this upcoming weekend. So be careful.

With the long weekend coming up and so many home projects to finish, you might want to consider keeping less cash in your wallet, or then again, maybe not.

Last night at the Commerce parking lot a semi-beat-up car with 2 attractive gals pulled up near me and one of the gals asked if they could have for $5 for "gas." I'm too much of a tightwad so I don't know if they had been trying to "proposition" inside.
