It might be damaged RAM, damaged mainboard, damaged harddisc or damaged/too weak power supply. It could also be some incompatibility, so you could update the bios on your mainboard and reset it to defaults. I think those are the most possible causes for freezes.
It is impossible to say specificly what it is without actual testing. If you can't test it yourself you should ask your vendor if he can. If your vendor is crap (like big electronic shops in germany are) you should try to find a local computer service or something like that.

I had this exact same problem and it was a faulty power supply. Go buy a new one from best buy to test it. Ship 10 bucks to tboss888 on stars.

You should probably remodulate the frequencies and reroute power to the motherboard.

The problem is with the CPU Intel Core Duo 2.4GHz (E6600), if you are using the default heatsink make sure that the heatsink is installed and all of the "shoddy" connections are inserted into the motherboard.

To test this place your case on its side meaning the motherboard facing upwards, this will then give complete contact to the CPU and thus not switch off.

I have the same CPU and same rail specs and this has stopped the freezing and shutting down.

Edit: I have also got the same PSU and the rails reading using PC Probe are wrong download Motherboard monitor and it will give you the right specs.
