I won a gift certificate to get my Scuba Certification this past weekend

Brag: $5 raffle = $370 course w/ all equipment provided
Beat: Never been diving before so I have no clue what to expect
Brag: Never been diving before so I'm really looking forward to it (the final dive is at a shipwreck off the NC coast)
Beat: Its getting colder outside and I'm going to wait until spring to take the classes
Var: I need to get a tan b/c I am so white...

I'm certified, it involved some minor classroom education and goofing around in a pool. It was pretty fun.

Do you have to go inside the shipwreck?

not sure why, but this just reminded doyle and chip reese sunk over a million dollars funding an expedition to find the wreckage from the titanic.

Wow I was on an oceanography cruise last semester right over that wreck...good luck its nice out there

in early grade school, they did fundraiser raffles. some people cut the hole's in their tissue boxes a little too big and you could peak into the box to see how many people had entered. Theoretically it had some huge EV, but this was long before E-Bay, and the resale value on a Schwinn wasn't very high.

scuba diving is great... took it in college. it was fun even in a pool.
