How\'s my river play here?

Foxwoods 10-20. Villian just sat down for 1 round and I can tell he is pretty loose aggressive. But only have a small sample to go on. LAG open for a raise UTG +1. Folded to me I make it 3 to go on the button with 77. He makes it $40 I call. HU to the flop.

Flop: 743 rainbow. He bets, I raise. He makes it $30. I just call.

Turn: 9, He bets I raise, he calls

River: Q, He leads. I raise. He makes it $60.

Played fine on all streets. Just call river. I'd only reraise if I knew from past experience this guy is a fool.

I like all streets (although at the FW 10 game, I sometimes just call this PF to lure blinds in).

Almost no FW 10 player is going 3 bets on the river with less than a set here. Sounds like you ran into a rivered set of queens.
Just call.

Unless this guy is a maniac just call the river. You have shown aggession every chance youve had and he is still coming at you.

ha ha... this guy was drawing dead and got there with AQ.

That said, I just call river cause I play like a little girl (and not even like one of those hard core Commerce Asian girls)

:-)

I usually have a maniac image enough to keep raising this flop and still get action on the turn but that said, I cant imagine not still holding the nuts here and and if he hit a 2 outer, congrats, 4-bet and see if he 5-bets.

call the 3bet. Joe's right about going more on the flop. Hard for most live players to put you on 77 here.

I think I've gone 6 bets in such a situation and still got C/R on the turn!!

no lag ever gives anyone credit for anything ever on the flop. This is why free card plays are so terrible against them. 4 bet him, and watch as he calls you and then donks the turn anyway.

I don't know why everyone on this forum is so ever to going to war without the nuts on the river all the time. 4 bet the river.

I take it one more bet....if he is lag as the rest of em---I'm sure you make the bets back the longer you play with them.
Snowball is a winner here.
Most players here play weak tight in most of these situations. Getting "crazy" isn't an option.
What did tommy angelo say many a times---i'd rather be weak tight than strong broke!
It applies to professional play.
Just something to think about.

Re: How\'s my river play here?

Well looks like the concensus is I should have went one more bet. I was more concerned that I might of lost an extra bet That I shouldn't have by raising the river to begin with. But I know I had to raise. Anyways I called the river and he turned up QQ. That's the way it goes.
