They are pretty cool. I have been doing regular rows, then at the end putting on like 225 and doing dynamic rows.

Seems really easy to use bad form and hurt yourself with these.

i've decided to stop having zero direction at the gym and doing my own 5x5 and to start the bill starr 5x5 program and actually write everything down... one of the major back exercises they advocated was the dynamic row, i'm pretty sure i could do a different row, if you thought there was one that was just as good?

LOL Google points at a 2+2 post on dynamic rows :

HE WHO CONTROLS THE GOOGLE CONTROLS THE UNIVERSE!

Anyway, if your back is healthy and you're not injury prone then go ahead and do the dynamic row.

I find it really hard to keep good tension and shape to my lower back when I'm doing fast jerky movements like that.

For me personally, I would rather do a Pendlay Row cuz I can focus on keeping my back in good position the whole time.

It's really weird that the dynamic row is in the Starr 5x5 program but there seems to be like zero information about it on the net.

That dynamic row looks interesting.

Only thing I would do first is a few sets of biceps warm up just to warm up the biceps for a few sets first because biceps are a fragile joint.
