I usually try to just muck them forcefully when some assclown does this, and they usually don't say anything. It's always some pervert WWII vet who does this, and they're so old that nobody takes them seriously anyway.

If the dealer does successfully turn my cards over, I ask to see the hand every time until they left the table.

[/ QUOTE ]

Really don't understand why you project WWII vet status to any random old pervert degen. Do you think all old perverts are WWII vets, or do you think all WWII vets are perverts?

Why did you feel it necessary to put pervert and WWII vet together at all?

At Foxwoods the IWTSTH rule has been abused so much that the dealers have taken the lead in dealing with the fallout.

If the person who is asked to show his hand objects, the dealer instructs the player asking to see, that this is the last time he will be allowed to do it. Unless he is actually suspicious of collusion. The Floor if called over, will say the same thing.

I am trying to start a grass roots campaign to change the way IWTSTH is implemented at FW. I have spoken to several Floor to ask them their opinion (the rule is universally hated so far) and have suggested to them that they bring up an alternative to their supervisors. The way I would like to see the rule handled is: when a player wants to invoke IWTSTH the dealer then should ask if that player suspects collusion. Only if the answer is yes, would the cards be turned over.

Note that FW is also attemting to disallow "HU checking hands down". Which should eliminate a legitamite use of IWTSTH.

I invite other FW regulars to let the Floor there know how ridiculous the current implementation of IWTSTH is - and to support the alternative mentioned above or simply ban it outright.

The rule is to prevent collusion.
To invoke the rule is to imply cheating.
I react kind of funny when accused of being a cheater.
...plus, it slows down the stinking game.

[/ QUOTE ]

When a donk asks, it's not to imply cheating, but to see your cards. If you think they are implying you are cheating you are giving them too much credit. Lighten up francis.

Seems easy enough. Email or talk to your local card-room boss.

Back in the day about 30 years ago, my dad was a poker specialist, at holdem and stud and such. He played in back rooms, and losing a lot of money was common, like now. But back then he told me that people would ask to see players cards all the time, and if you didn't show, its as if your not coroporating with the rules.

So as time progressed people got pissier when asked, and now nobody asks, so people don't even know you can ask.

An instance came up last year, at the WSOP, where another player who won the hand, called down w/ an A high, and said "I wanna see your cards" the player threw his cards into the pile, which should be a penalty.

Amazing all the information retards can get from seeing one hand I played. My game is completely transparent, everyone at the table has picked up on my major tell, and I have to add more deception to my game to trick them.

I, in fact, plan ahead for this very situation. I keep a pair of sunglasses in my back pocket. I practice in front of the mirror to nail the fake tells. I then play loose at first, forcing as many hands to showdown as possible. I then open-muck on the river when my all-in bluff is called.

After this, I change my game entirely. I play more disciplined, hoping to use my donkey image to my advantage. In fact, I am so tight, they forget about me. I kindly show the nuts, and set them up for the big bluffs on later streets.

I make sure that I control all of the information my opponents get. Try it. It really works.

Sorry, what?

I'm assuming you mean explicitly talking about checking it down, which will really do not very much.
