Big enough staff to be first class?

ATLANTIC CITY - Can a casino owner pare its staff so drastically that it can no longer run a "first-class" operation?
That is what the New Jersey Casino Control Commission, which regulates Atlantic City's gambling market, must decide about the owner of the Tropicana Casino & Resort in licensing hearings over the next week and a half.

In the commission's files are complaints from Tropicana customers about encountering bedbugs, roaches, overflowing toilets, and bathrooms that reeked of urine. The complaints were among information Tropicana management wanted to have excluded from the hearing.

I'm trying to think if it's reasonable to clean a bathroom in 45 minutes... ?

I would be AMAZED if it took more than ten minutes for a housekeeper to clean an average Hotel Bathroom.

I wonder if they're talking about the public bathrooms located throughout the casino, and not hotel bathrooms.

The decline started when they refused to compete against the Borgata and the Taj for the poker revenue. They should have expanded the room to the outer slot bank with about another thirty tables. They had 6/12, 10/20 games. They were doing a great job with the daily tourneys. What the hell happened?

Isn't this a little game-centric?

There could be a slot forum out there somewhere sayin' "they hung tough for the slot revenue by keeping the outer slot bank near the poker room up and running."

The men's room outside the poker room is absolutely disgusting. I've found the hotel rooms to be pretty nice - not Borgata nice, but I've had no complaints.

They also used to have a 10/20/30 stud, a 15/30/45 stud 8, and some Omaha games. The 6/12 & 10/20 HE games might just be casualties of the "poker boom", and the abundance of 1/2 NL games. I think the pink chip game is pretty much on life support now too, from what I've seen/read.
