Hand Chart...version 3. my version

In all its glory. Now we all know, hand charts are pretty general, and in victor's famous words "If you are working off a hand chart, you are not a winning player"

well, to each his own. I dont use a hand chart anymore, and I know many dont, but I made one a while back anyway. Stoxtrader says he made a hand chart once and it was helpful to him and he occasionally references it. But poker is very situational, so this chart is a generality. I tried my best to include things for many situations. (raise limpers, raise limpers w/ tight blinds..etc.)

The chart comes with a legend, its on one of the tabs. This is an excel file, also. Anyway, its a little unpolished, but way better than it was. I reference 3 hand charts and had some high limiters look at it, and added stuff from discussions with them. Add in a little oreo magic, and this is what you have.

Feel free to agree or disagree, we are all here to learn, and Im just trying to help. But this is way better than any other sort of hand chart you will ever find.

**The blind defense section is not finished, so its pretty general...that part needs work. Anyway have add it.

***Also if someone wants to make some images of the chart and legend and post here for those without excel, feel free.

Here we go. Thanks for the chart.

http://www.lavilat.com/sssh-handchart.gif

R = Raise
C = Call
CK = Check
3B = 3bet
R1 = raise first in, call 1 or more limpers
C2 = call if 2 or more put money in pot
RF = raise if first in, fold otherwise
3B2 = 3bet lone LAG or CO, call 2 or more
LR = limp vs loose opponents (raise if they CC), raise tight opponents
CA = call LAG blind stealer
RT = raise tight players first in, fold otherwise
RL = raise first in or 1 limper, call or check otherwise
R2L = raise first in or 2 limpers, call or check otherwise
RP = Raise Passive/Predictable game. Less SemiBluffing.
C-P = Call in passive game or where u expect to encourage limpers
RL-TB - Raise Limper, Tight Blinds...otherwise limp (workable, and possibly off though)
Rbt/RBT = Raise BTN 40%VPIP or less and BB 50% or less

About some of the CO raises:
Some of the more marginal ones marked "RT" you should only do if the
Button is 40% VPIP or less and BB is 50% VPIP or less.

About CO/BTN open raising. This is just a guide, the tighter the BTN
or BB...the more hands u want to raise with.

3 Betting from the button

First - thanks for sharing the work you put into this.

Second - Wow! Are people regularly 3 betting those hands from the button? I understand that the chart is meant as a general guideline / situations vary / it depends on who's doing the raising and who's in the blinds / etc. But still: wow!

Also, I might not be understanding the 3B3 and 3B2 notations correctly -- the Legend sheet says: "3B2 = 3bet lone LAG or CO, call 2 or more". So, I guess 3B3 means 3bet if there are 2 people in the hand already; call if more?

But at the extreme end of the scale, the button is 3-betting:
44/55 (maybe down to 22?)
A4s (maybe only A7s?)
A8
K9s
KQ
QTs
JTs

I'm re-raising many of those hand against an aggressive raiser, but usually tossing the unsuited aces (up to AT/AJ depending on opponents), the low suited aces, most of the suited kings, and the low pocket pairs.

And I'm around 24/21 ($VPIP/PFR) from the button...

Third - hmm looking at the rest of the chart more closely, it's a lot looser and more aggressive than I play (and I think more so than the earlier s/h charts too). Any idea what preflop stats this chart translates into?

I'm wondering what's your VPiP/PFR filtered for 5-6 handed?

Didn't look at it close, so I don't have anything to debate about it, but at a glance it looks like you put some serious time into this. Thanks for sharing it
