when a game is a \"must move\"

what does that mean??

Re: when a game is a \"must move\"

When someone gets up at the main game instead of getting a name off a wait list they get someone from the must move game. They then fill the space in the must move with someone from the list. Although if you have a list using a must move is kindof dumb imho.

And the point of this is to protect the existing games and keep them full. If, say, you have 2 games of 10/20 going and 8 names on the waiting list, if you start another non-must-move game, then as players leave an existing game there will be nobody on the list to fill in and in short order a game that's been going for 8 hours may find itself short-handed and break. The must move keeps the existing games full at the cost of leaving the must-move game vulnerable to ending up short.

Some folks like must-moves, some folks don't.

Right my point was when I play in AC they will typically have a main game, a must move, and 8 names on the list. This is what I find dumb. Opening an 8 person must move to fill the main games is fine.

When a game is a must move I have found it is better than the main game because the fish can't keep their stacks long enough to make it to the main. I wish I could just stay at the must move all night sometimes!

You got THAT right. I'd put up with Bellagio's crappy $200 max buy-in at the NL2/5 game if I could just stay at the must move game the whole time.

If the feeder game is just starting, the person at the top of the wait list when the table was opened is the first person to go to the main game the 2nd on the list is the second person to move etc...

You're moved in the order you were seated in the must move game. If you are one of the players that starts the must move game, you're moved in the order your names were on the wait list.
