The average adult male cries 1.4 times per month. Are you significantly above this?

BS. Garuanteed they took their subjects from a gay bar or France.

Nah, it's just that it's average not median. Averages are crap for stuff like this. If 95% of guys never cry and 5% of guys cry once a day, you get an average of 1.52. Spread it out a bit and that average starts to look realistic.

I've seen partial splits of the data. Less than 1% of men in the sample reported crying more than 10 times in the previous month, and they were excluded from calculating the 1.4 average. About half the men reported not having cried at all in the previous month. Of those who did cry in the past month, the largest share were those who had cried only once (20%).

Crying is fine and you aren't a pussy for crying but this is when crying is called for, like when your wife left you, a loved one dies, dog dies, something with an attachment. I can get emotional in a movie/book but I don't have any attachment to it and so I won't shed tears. I find it very odd you are actually shedding tears in Elf or Harry Potter.

Letting go of your emotions is healthy but being a crybaby can't be can it?
