25NL: simple preflop spot with AQs

what is your general move here? i dont like cold calling a 3bet...but i cant see 4betting being good...but perhaps should i fold?

button is 15/10 over 73, but is looser than the stats say, and pretty bad overall, so he doesnt have to have a big hand

sb is 41/11 over 265, tiny raise is pretty std for them, every shown down hand with a PFR has been at least a decent hand

BTN: $14.05
SB: $23.10
Hero (BB): $28
UTG: $24.65
CO: $29.50

Pre-Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BB)
2 folds, BTN raises to $0.75, SB raises to $1.50, Hero...

AQ is a hand I generally try to aviod playing a big pot preflop with espeailly since the person reraising is doing it from the sb, the button doesnt necessairly have a hand since hes in position and may have been standard button raise. I would fold unless I close the action but I'm new to ring games.

i like this cold call, because they are suited if not then you can fold that.

its mostly a judgment call on the player... i fold that with some and raise with others

With the raiser AND the 3-bettor having PFR <12, I fold here. Sounds like your reads are different than their stats however.

I think it's close, but I fold.

button has shown down 76o raising on the button, and raised QTs in MP over an UTG limper. open limped 74s on button too...

just from what the DB says

The button doesn't worry me as much as the 41/11 SB.

I forgot to put in my first post - I think your options are call or fold. I hate 4-betting here.

Fold.

Raising is unprofitable because SB or Button may push, in which case you are going to fold after putting a lot of money in or call as a pretty huge underdog.

Calling is not good because
1. You're sandwiched.
2. You're gonna play a big pot without being committed.

Re: 25NL: simple preflop spot with AQs

terrible spot, easy fold imo.
You are most likely dominated and you don't know what the original raiser is up to, if he shoves or raises again you wasted lot's in a pot where you barely can't win anything. On any A high flop you take it down right there or get owned in a big pot. The only flop you like is AQx and even there you are not 100%
