Transferring ITUNES songs to a new computer

So I just got a new computer and want to transfer all the songs I have on ITUNES over to the new computer. What is the easiest way to do it?

Connect your old drive to your new computer. Copy the itunes folder.

If you are talking about music you purchased via itunes, it's probably more complicated. Google "transfer itunes new computer" and you will get 100s of results. Or go straight to apple.com and find the faq.

Ipod Liberator if you can get them onto your ipod or already have them on an ipod.

If you have the exact same username and location on the new machine, you can actually just pick up the entire library and files, and drop then in the new machine and it'll all work. However, if you have slightly different machines (e.g. coming from c:, going to d:) then it's a problem if you want to preserve all the library data (like # played, etc.)
