I think it's from professional no limit, I've not read it but it sounds like it's mostly aimed at full ring live games and isn't really applicable to the online game.

It is a great way to plan your hand with respect to commitment decisions. It is applicable in almost any NL game regardless of size/number of players/live vs. online.

The book is great. The book is really in 2 parts and for a (NL) novice like me will find the "first" part really useful, pages 1-163, covering basics, fundamentals, REM and commitment. I will leave pages 164 onwards ie SPR for later.

The section on hand ranges and equity calculations alone are worth $29.95.
