Bodog freezing?

I'd played on Bodog on this computer for 4 months with no problems. A few days ago a tournament froze. Ever since i've been able to play abut 20-30 minutes then it starts freezing a ton.

I uninstalled then reinstalled the program but still getting same problem. Thoughts/ideas on how to fix this anyone?

Thanks.

Re: Bodog freezing?

Do you use Dogwatch? Sometimes, Dogwatch will have an error, and then if you don't hit "OK" on the error message, the Bodog client will freeze. This can happen even if you are not playing cash games, but have Dogwatch running.

Other than that, I haven't had any freeze problems. However, Bodog keeps randomly crashing and shutting down for me. It's really starting to get old. Any ideas?

Well we are playing with an old, and presumably no longer supported version of the Bodog client.

My bodog is also crashing. I made a detailed post about it in the software forum.

I'm playing with the old client on an old computer. hadn't used it in months,
and it never prompted me to update when I started using it the other day. It
was fine the last couple days. just now, it started disappearing. ie, the
whole application shuts itself down--blink and everything is gone. I noticed
a couple other players getting hung up. but I may reinstall my operating
system anyway. and I tried to update the software and now it won't run.

This is bad. We may be forced to use the new software.

Please someone say it isn't so.

Dogwatch people....please get off your collective asses and update your s/w

I don't use Dogwatch and I've been using the new Bodog software for a few weeks... I've had several instances where
the client has froze up while trying to take notes on a player.

Re: Bodog freezing?

I have noticed in the last few weeks that the tournaments have been playing at a much slower pace because it seems that many players are experiencing lag problems including me. My preaction buttons do not engage right away when I push them. It seems to take a few seconds for the command to be recognized and the animations seems to "hang up" for a few seconds. I do not have this problem at all when playing cash games which makes be beleive it is a problem on Bodog's end. I have installed the new version and then uninstalled it and gone back to the older version and nothing seems to help.

I also have been having the problem, but only when I've had more than one table open. With one table (old client), I haven't had a problem.
