1.5 Months in Vegas, <25 YO, Need Transportation

I'll be in Vegas for WSOP time and have rented a condo. I am trying to find a method of transportation, but it seems like everything is going to be pretty expensive. Here are my options:

1) Rent a car: ~$2500 for a month and a half because I'm under 25.
2) Ship my car out there and back: ~$1600.
3) Use taxis/public transportation: still a lot of money and a major inconvenience.

Does anybody have any other ideas?

I agree with this. The drive isn't too bad. I assume UCF is Central Florida correct? I just did Pittsburgh to San Diego in 3 days by myself and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be... and I HATE driving long distances.

Then, if you hated the drive there, you can always train your car back, or look at it as a goal that you'll do if the WSOP turns out well for you.

Forgot to mention I already booked the flight with the Stars travel card. Way to do everything ass-backwards right?

Wouldn't the cost of gas, meals, motels, and mileage on the car come close enough to offsetting the $1,600 to ship it that this option would be somewhat pointless given the hassle and boredom involved?

I guess he saves on plane fare this way, but still. 3 days straight of driving by yourself is pretty beat.

Only thing I can think of here is to put an add on Craigs list and see if you can find some local who has an extra car he or she could rent to you on the cheap. I bet you could find someone who would do it for a few hundred.

Trap,

Yeah, you do have a point. My trip didn't cost me a whole lot because I :

1)Packed food before leaving.
2)My motel stays were free due to reward points I had
3)My car, full of crap, got like 30 MPG over the whole trip. I spent just a tad over $250 on gas.

You could also try making a post on CL to see if anyone wants to come along to Vegas. That way your driving and costs get split up.

This is all useless talk though as he already has a plane ticket booked.

This might be risky, but you could try buying a used car when you get there and selling it before you leave.
