If both players at the end have a pair it then becomes a 4 card game and whoever has the lowest of the 4 cards win.

i play on pokerstars.

aces are always low.
best 5 card low wins; doesn't have to be 8 or better.
Pairs count against you.
flushes and straights don't.

SGSpecial is correct; Absolute poker has it wrong.
