78s blind vs blind - i flop bottom straight and he likes his hand

villain is is tagfishy but not a standard tagfish. runs at 21/10 and he limps a ton of hands PF, has a pretty tight raising range, but he likes to 3bet .
the last 3 times its folded to me in the sb i have rasied marginal hands and hes 3bet me and i folded. but he hasnt raised anytime ive limped in, regardless of number of limpers in front of me. postflop hes donkish with his bet/raise sizes but hes does have some clue about relative hand strengths

the table had been real passive and i was definitely the most active player at the table. villain has said something in chat to the effect that i raise too much

What's he like postflop?

I guess my standard in bvb is to bet/call here.

I think the flop play is good, you can narrow down his range to: 2pairs, pair+gutshot & bare flush draws. it wouldn't make sense for him to have over+fd.

Given he didn't push the flop, his hand is beginning to look more like a draw (I'm going to disregard sets as part of his range, we can agree he's raising 88+ in the bb.

There is no merit to bet/folding - because he's some times going to shove pairs which now have redraws to the flush + his made flushes.

C/c, c/r are essentially the same line given stack sizes. He's going to freeze up with his 2pair hands and not bet. [To counter this- you may want to bet/call]

Given you're drawing dead to better straights or flushes (which aren't likely I think a fair is in line).

I said b/c for diff reasons. First, it's bvb, and people get way to aggro for their own good there. Secondly, he doesn't seem to respect your play. So he may have:

1. an average hand he's calling down with because he doesn't believe you
2. a good made hand that he decided not to 4 bet since you may be FOS

Both of these hands could shove over your turn bet, because he sucks and also because he may not want you to keep drawing to whatever it is you might have.

So, I think you're well ahead of his range, and his raising range on the turn, so I think it's a b/c.

With deeper stacks I'd say bet fold. Here stack sizes are a little awkward for that, so I tend to favor b/c as there are plenty of 2 pr / pair + draw hands that pay you off, particularly as he seems overly defensive out of the blinds.

Re: 78s blind vs blind - i flop bottom straight and he likes his hand

i did some holdemranger calcs against his likely worst senario ranges
of A2c+,SCc,KQ, J8,JT,J9,T9,T8,98,
if you give A2c+,SCc,KQ 25% of the time you Equitie is 71%
bump them to 40% your Equitie is 67%
Bump them to 60% and your still looking good

The problem is your not going to be able to narrow his range down until you bet turn and even then because its Bvb and he has a bug for you, and given stack sizes your not really gonna be able to fold.

And when anyone tells me i raise to much preflop in chat.... I love to keep at em, till i drive them demeted

I'd bet for sure, he can have any one of a million pair, pair plus straight draw, pair plus flush draw, 2 pair, sets as well as flushes. It's way worse to check the hand and see a card that kills your hand/action. If he shoves I'd call, we're in good shape equity wise against his range imo.
