FYI...not sure if there would be interest in a slightly different more gambool heavy type league

but essentially I would be down to run 1 more league
$150-$300 buy-in

6-8 teams max.
The twist?


WINNER TAKE ALL
, well 2nd gets its money back.

so if it was a $300 buy-in...8 teams
1st=$2100
2nd=$300

16 game season regular season, everyone plays each other twice. The two teams with the top 2 records at the end of the regular season play each other in week 17 for the Prize.

if any of the other losing teams wanted to challenge another for whatever amount of $$$ I'd run a match between the two that week also.


With 6-8 teams...the lineups would be siiiiick so everyone ,unless they were complete idiots, would have stacked stacked teams.

I would probably be in if there was one rule change. You need to switch the championship to week 16. Just not fair to have half the important players sitting out/only playing the first half, in the championship.

Yeah I was leaning towards this before your post...especially given every team will have studs on it.

So week 16 is superbowl.

We could do no playoffs..best record after 16 games wins it all. We could do top 2 teams meet each other in week 16. Or we could do top 2 teams in each division play each other in week 15 and then superbowl is in week 16.

Also we can do a straight winner takes all. or Winner takes basically all and loser gets buy-in back or half of buyin.

i think we should def do playoffs week 15. 1vs4 and 2vs3 in week 15 winners play for championship. and i vote for 2nd gets his buy in back. because it would really suck to make it to championship and leave with nothing

and i'm thinking given the nature of the format and to reduce varience.

maybe
Team with best record at end of season gets bye and goes straight to superbowl in week 16. and then maybe have #2 play #5 and #3play #4 week 14. Then winners play week 15. Winner advances to Superbowl to play the overall best team in the league.

That way if you have the best record during the season your guaranteed $$ and a shot at the ME prize.

Ok here is my thinking for a King of the Hill FFB format that is still fun to play even if it is more gambool heavy $$ wise.

The above scoring and roster rules
8 teams max so everyones roster will be pretty loaded wiith quality.

2nd gets its buy-in back, 1st gets everything else.

King of the Hill format essentially.

Best regular season team automatically gets into the SuperBowl(week 16) as the favorite to win it all obv.

The #2, #3, #4, #5 teams duke it out in weeks 14 and 15 to decide who is going to be the underdog and try and dethrone the favorite(#1 team) in the SuperBowl Week 16.

#2 plays #5, #3 plays #4 in Week 14

Winner of #2 vs #5 plays Winner of #3 vs #4 in Week 15

This way its not so lopsided that half way thru the season half the league quits thinking they have no shot.

All you have to do is finish in the Top 5 to get into playoffs, not to hard given it is a 8 man league, but what your goal should be is #1 cuz the payoff is HUGE.

Guaranteed 1st or 2nd place money.

I am relatively new around here but I would definitely play if the buy in is $200 or less.

If I am too much of a newbie I understand that too and no hurt feelings on my end.
