He was in the movie directed by Robert Altman which started the TV show, he wasn't in the TV show.

Assuming this movie is as bad as rumored (haven't seen it yet), it's a huge dissapointment for the primary reason that the director Curtis Hansen really hasn't made one crappy movie up until now (Wonder Boys is one of my favorites), and I would have thought he could have pulled off a decent, modern-day poker movie.

Sounds like it's just a little step above that old hit show 'Tilt'. Actually, it sounds like they incorporated a bit of that story into it.

Someone apparently thought that was a winning formula...
