UTG is 23/8/1.2 after about 500 hands. He does not bet often, especially not on the flop. Effective stacks $180. Fold the river? Fold the turn? Raise somewhere?

edited to add: He does not seem to play loose postflop.

I think you have to raise the flop. It's very draw heavy and you have to protect your hand. On river I'd probably fold, but your hand is underrepresented making it more difficult.

So form your description this guy doesn't bet out with a draw, right? If so, then the river is very interesting. JT just got counterfeited and I am thinking that is a part of his range (along with a set).

Since you played the flop and turn so passively I think the river is a call.

What was your rationale for calling his flop underbet? That is where I would usually attack a player like this.

I think your value calls have induced villian to overplay something or other much of the time. Call.

I would probably raise the flop though. If he 3b pushed, you could probably fold.

WTF raise flop, check turn... riv is call MAYBE even valueshove against QQ, JT, or AJ b/c those hands wont fold

[/ QUOTE ] That is right. I dont' think he would lead the flop with a draw. But I doubt he would raise JT utg and call a reraise given 8%pfr, but he might. What I really doubt is if he would be the river this big with it, and if he would bet the river at all. Why would he? Keep in mind that this guy is passive.

doesnt matter if he's passive, you need to raise his weak flop lead, if he calls that it becomes much easier. we're just guessing here, even passive guys can lash out with bluffs/overvaluing hands. as played your hand is so underrepresented that i think you have to call, but dont play it like this...
