"K, besides your 3 hidden outs, are you getting paid if that 3rd heart hits?"

yes, unless he was FOS with his raise in the first place and then im making $ regardless.

I don't think you are getting paid by anything if that heart hits and you push. If that's your logic you can see why I don't like calling here ever. You may not share the same view but it at least gives insight into why I think it's push or fold.

honestly if you think people nit it up that much than you should be going buckwild every time theres a flush draw on the board. if you lead for 3/4psb everytime an obvious draw hits and everyone folds then youre basically printing money?

You got it. Welcome to SSNL. You might get a blocking bet out of it.

Just yesterday: I hold AcQc, raise from CO, BTN smooth calls

Flop: Kc 10h 2c

I bet pot, get raised 3.5x my bet, I call knowing I have 0 FE against opponent (very solid, decent TAG)

Turn: 3c

I check, he bets 3/4 pot, I push. He folds KT saying "nice turn."

It's pretty standard and of course I believe I made a mistake in the hand since I did not get paid. I think I called $12ish to make $40 which is -EV since I don't make my hand 40 to 12 on the turn.

Like you, I was hoping for the Jack.

At any rate, this is pretty standard in my experiences which is why I push/fold. If I have 0 FE, I generally fold.

donk the turn, turn CRs are SUPER strong to everyone but complete morons.

honestly, what are his options if you lead the turn for 3/4 pot? a call? great. now you get to vbet the river all in. this is super basic stuff here.

edited to add: folding is so bad here too. you have draws to the nuts and the pot is already big enough that there is no way you should ever be folding 12 outs to the nuts. my board texture and his hand range makes this hand slightly different.

Yeah, it isn't a 1-to-1 correspondence... your hand and mine I mean.

Leading turn is probably better than CR. You have to CR here sometimes against good players to be able to bluff though. But overall, donking > CRing.
