$100 oil........$3 gas..........switch to biofuels now
.......and in doing so you will not support foreign oil and in the same process help the American farmer.
Meanwhile, IOWA FARMLAND continues to increase at record levels and anyone not on this gravy train over the last few years and the next couple are really, really missing a golden oppurtunity for themselves. |
Re: $100 oil........$3 gas..........switch to biofuels now
How do we switch to biofuels when 99% of cars on the road need gasoline? Do you really think people care? (serious question)
The majority of people are not energy-conscious. |

Re: $100 oil........$3 gas..........switch to biofuels now
Fish,
Subsidizing oil production places a great strain on the environment. The U.S. interest in maintaining sugar cane production in Florida is taxing the Everglades. |
Re: $100 oil........$3 gas..........switch to biofuels now
Actually a better trade than farmland probably would've been to buy exchange seats in KC or Minneapolis. MGEX seats are up 400% yoy.

Re: $100 oil........$3 gas..........switch to biofuels now
Jesus, biofuels only exist b/c the US maintains huge subsidies along with huge tariffs on foreign sugarcane and Brazilian ethanol. Biofuels are a joke of an alternative fuel source. They are majorly negative net energy when you look at all the resources necessary to create them and actually pollute more than oil.
