$21 NLTRN, AT on three-flush board

This is the second hand of the match, so no reads.

Seat 1: HERO (1,510)
Seat 2: VILLAIN (1,490)
HERO posts the small blind of 10
VILLAIN posts the big blind of 20
The button is in seat #1
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to HERO [Tc Ad]
HERO raises to 60
VILLAIN calls 40
*** FLOP *** [Kh 4h Ah]
VILLAIN checks
HERO bets 100
VILLAIN calls 100 (really quick call)
*** TURN *** [Kh 4h Ah] [9d]
VILLAIN checks
HERO bets 200
VILLAIN raises to 400
HERO calls 200
*** RIVER *** [Kh 4h Ah 9d] [Ac]
VILLAIN bets 400 (insta-bet)
HERO calls 400

Comments on all streets. I was really lost on the turn and really had no clue if my line was good or not. I think the river is an automatic call since I'm getting almost 1:4.

I would fold on turn because the weak kicker and possible flush.

My prefered line for this flop would be.

Bet flop. Check turn. Then Call any non heart River, or bet fold about half the pot.

I really like checking the turn as if villain raises me on turn im in an awkward position, also if villain flat calls turn and leads a heart river then i'm probably folding.

Apart from pot control checking the turn also gets you some extra chips when villain bets the river with his missed flush draw (if river is non-heart of course).

Basically my thinking is yes i have top pair but my hand is very vulnerable so i want to play a small pot, if villain outdraws me so be it.

I think my standard play here is exactly what you did, but I'm not sure I love it.

I see the rationale for checking through turn, but don't think you increase his bluff % enough to give the free card, especially considering how consistent his line up till now has been w/ a draw.
Villain might show up with random boats w/ this line, but more often than not I think you have him beat. Just don't see any time to get away from hand. Maybe that's a leak of mine
