Tournament or Limit ?
I've been playing poker for about six months now. The only books i have read are Lee Jones winning low limit book and the first Harrington book. The games I play are limit hold'em, low-stakes no-limit multi table tournaments and SNG's - all online. I still cannot win consistantly at limit, but out of all the tournaments and SNG's i play i'm way ahead. Plus I have more fun at the tournaments. Is this wrong? Should i be concentrating more on limit? I'm thinking of getting Ed Miller's book to help my lame-limit.
Thanks!! |
Re: Tournament or Limit ?
You should play what you find most fun and comfortable for you. There's no reason that you MUST learn limit. Learning to play limit at some point will probably help you become a more well-rounded player, but concentrating on SNGs and/or tournaments is a fine way to go.
Whatever you choose to do, spend time studying it. |
Re: Tournament or Limit ?
No right or wrong- you must enjoy what you play.
But if you're going to venture into Limit: "Small Stakes Holdem" Ian |

Lee Jones winning low limit book [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I still cannot win consistantly at limit [/ QUOTE ] These two are probably related. If you want to play limit better, read Small Stakes Holdem. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yu're better at SNGs and MTTs, and you find them more fun. What more do you need to know? I don't see why you should have to play limit. Get HOH2, and focus in on your STTs and MTTs. Good luck! |
