i like a bet/call flop, turn CRAI line better. allows u to really get max value out of an overpair.

as played, id probably bet 16 on the turn. u have the entire deck lockd up...no need to pot it here

value bet turn and if river is a blank value bet again, allow him to push the rest of u in with set/overpair.

flop bet isn't bad. Low ball the turn. I think sometimes I give the villain a chance to hang himself on the river. Two pair would have reraised you on the flop and the only thing that is calling that turn bet has to be two pair.

Your turn betsize is horrible.

I agree with Split Suit. I also think donking is better than checkraising.

[/ QUOTE ]It's horrible because a lower bet also accomplishes the same thing. You want to get all in on the river. If you bet $16 and he calls the pot will be $56 on the river and stacks will be $35 making for a 2/3 pot bet. Betting this much on the turn is going to scare lots of hands, that otherwise would payoff, away.

There is a lot to be said for check-call, check-relucta-call (time her down), then lead the river for a low amount. Say 15% of the pot. That way you ensure you get a curiosity look up from all hands with any showdown value and if he has a good hand he may value raise since you look like you are blocking. Even if he min-raises play with him and min-raise back - I'm betting he'd make a very frustrated call.

I realize none of these lines are standard but this is the sort of hand were you can really mess around and mix up your image a little. It's also the sort of turn where if villain had a hand he'd probably fire a second round at it but where (as you found out) if you take an aggressive stance he probably folds a wide range including AQ and the likes.
