I really hate betting the turn there unless you know villain will stack off with AT-AK there.

Well, in that specific hand against that specific opponent, I knew he *wasn't* going to stack off with overcards, but I also knew he was steaming from a previous game where he flopped a set of 8s against my top pair, and I runner-runner full-housed him. So, he certainly would have called overcards on the flop, and might have called again on the turn behind.

(no more snapcalling ftw)

That's the really silly part of all this. None of those three situations (or any of the dozens of similar situations) were snap-calls. I thought about it, figured I had to be beat, and then put the money in anyway.

I'm just hoping that by publicly exposing my stupidity, maybe I'll be more likely to stop.

I feel you TNixon. I blame it all on learning math.

Normally, I lay my opponent on one specific hand and play accordingly. Well, bring in math. I see that this idiot just bet 1/2 pot on the river, and I can't bring myself to fold even though I know I am beat. Why? Because I all of a sudden second-guess my read, because I "only have to be right 20% of the time."

Or it's even worse when they bet 40 into a 600 pot. I mean, come on. Do I really "have" to call here?

I'm on massive tilt right now and if I feel I'm beat but i have "a hand," you are going to be very happy.
