Hobbies that let you know people suck

I nominate geocaching.

My roommate just asked me for about the fifteenth time in the last month to go geocaching. For about the fifteenth time I told him that I have zero interest in walking around in the woods somewhere looking for a box with travel bugs or coupons in it. Today he wanted to create a new geocache spot. How exciting. I guess he left to go hide some stuff in a plastic box at a park nearby.

Ever since he bought a GPS and discovered geocaching, he goes on about it waaaaaay too often. That's great that you found a cache hidden inside a tree at the top of a hill in the middle of nowhere two days ago, but I don't give a [censored].

Is this normal behavior for an adult male? Who does this stuff? Does anybody here geocache and if so, why? What other lame hobbies do people you know have that they talk about way too much and spend altogether too much time on?

What if geocaching was all about finding a large amount of money? It's quite possible that you don't like the idea because you aren't looking for something that you value to be worth spending your time looking for.

And to answer your question,

World of Warcraft.

I have never heard of geocaching before but it sounds stunningly retarded. Pretty much any hobby other than golf is really unnecessary.
