Help me pick a website name

I'm planning on starting up a career planning related website. Basically the website will feature career profiles. But, I'm not that creative so I need your help picking a good name.

Please pick you top TWO favorites.

Thanks in advance

I went with the .com options - consumers will always type it when going to your website. Also, there is a big difference in the perception of a website that calls itself "Best Careers..." vs. "Cool Careers...".

I'm not sure what you mean on this point... What's the difference in perception between using 'best' and 'cool'?

I have no suggestions because I'm not going to spend the necessary hours searching for available domains, but I wouldn't use any of these.

-The first three are very long
-Best/cool at the beginning sounds cheap
-Hyphenated names are almost always a terrible choice
-.net names are almost always a terrible choice

I agree with Evan, except I think long names are fine. Also, don't worry too much about the name of the website, the formatting, the layout, etc. Focus on content.

Re: Help me pick a website name

what about something like "careerportrait.com"?

One thing about something like coolcareerprofiles.com or career-profiles.net is that my keywords are targeted in the domain name, which would help the SEO.

I agree that content should be my main concern - and it is. The content should be excellent if all goes well.

Or "vocationnation.org"?

"livetowork.org"?

Re: Help me pick a website name

Some thoughts:

.org/.net causes people to screw up the URL more

last letter of first word being the same as the first letter of the next word also causes people to screw up the URL more

Frink, how are you monetizing? and how are you drawing in initial traffic? (this should play a part in determining how much time to spend on the URL)
