Butchered top set hand

Opponent is 16/14/4 over lots of hands. I had this all planned out to lead/call, stack a donk the turn but aborted because I thought it was to transparent and now that I'm at the river should I bet it or check and rep the busted JT?

If you check the river to him there is always a chance he checks behind. Given the action I like a check raise on the turn. As played I donk all in the river

I dig donk hammering the river looks like JTs whiffed.

This hand isn't really that butchered. Against an opponent like this, c/r turn is fine. Additionally, leading the turn would've been goot as well. Calling was likely a small mistake.

The problem as played is that anything you do now reeks of strength. I would probably go ahead and lead the river. I would rather have them fold than experience the excruciating agony of seeing UTG check behind.

River shove seconded. EDIT: or thirded, whatever
Would bet or checkraise turn depending on the reads I get from 'lots of hands'

Villain has < 3/4 pot left on river, right? Just push.

Re: Butchered top set hand

i thought check/raising was bad because I led/called a dry flop and then c/r a blank turn? Come on, the guy isn't a total moron. I could be wrong though.

Have you not got any more of a read than this? How many hands is 'lots'?
