A8, drawy flop

Villain is a 30/22 lagtag. I dont think hes that great, but hes not horrible either. Turn raise ok? Bet river?

I prefer 3-betting flop. Whats villian's AF? Too many scare cards he could check to you on the turn with.

No point in raising the turn if you don't bet the river.

Quick clarification on a few things. When we raise the turn, as in the example above, we are betting the river for value right? i.e we have our 66% equity.

In what situations are we raising the turn for a FSD, rather than value? When is it close between raising the turn for value and raising the turn for a fsd?

when the board is this nasty I usually avoid raising the turn if all i have is 1-pair, no draw. Reason is cuz some ppl overvalue their draws and will 3b 98 there. Exception is when I have overpair to the board cuz then I have a pretty decent draw to beat 2-pair.

I do like raising this turn but might ck behind riv. I could see lag playing hands w J or Q this way or T9 and plan on ck/r riv. This seems a little too thin to value bet imho.

Ya. bet river for value. I like waiting for the turn as well and I think vmacosta is a nit here

I b/c the river. He can have a lot of 8x, 7x etc. he will pay off with. He may also have complete trash like 9x. So if he CR I think we need to pay off (depending on ur exact read of course).

b/c seems like it would not be profitable on the river all that often?

My intial thought is to b/f but I play to passive on the river.
