Hand 1 is standard, you're highly likely beat by both or atleast one of the other players in the hand. (You could have raised a bit more preflop if you know you're likely to get multiple callers)

Hand 2:
Raise a bit more preflop. Bet more like 0.4 on the flop, pot the turn. On the river I think check/fold is fine since any two [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], any K, any T and the case Q beats you.

Tough luck.

snappy got it right, except I'd either pot flop in hand 2 or take 5 cents off and bet that. It's gunnabe big cuz of how likely he is drawing to the straight+has a pair or has a pair+drawing to the flush. Also somewhat likely he has two pair.

In retrospect and also for pot control purposes, I think potting the turn may have been wrong. As far as tough luck, I consider these type hands the cost of doing business. I don't feel these folds were all that tough, even though the pots were big.

Des - pot turn is fine. PPL in general draw waayyy too much again the odds, especially on monotone boards. I remember when I played that limit I'd sometimes push this turn and get looked up by TPTK with the flush draw.

Once you hit 25NL or whatever, then you have to start playing it diff.
