easy fold plzyed like this IMO. yes you might get a AQ call or something, but too often he will have 2 pr/set or a pr+ draw thats ahead.

also- i HATE this play with AA. srsly just 3 bet pf, not like anyone folds when they have position. especially since I assume your not cold calling many hands in the SB(i hope not at least)

PS- this does not belong in HSNL, yes, I could see some 5/10 hands fitting in, but def not this.

Re-read my original post, I explained why I cold-called pre-flop.

FYI, I did fold, but I'm curious as to what others thinks. Looks like consensus is this was a good fold. However, how would you have played this (besides re-raising pre, which I normally do, but was looking to trap the BB)?

short stacks will get it in there if they have something good anyways, especially if he wants to double through you in particular.

also- trap big stacks, not people with the min buy in.

Re: Slowplayed AA on Scary Flop (5/10)

It's difficult to trap big stacks pre-flop. If I re-raise, the BB may fold a hand like 77 or AT that he might shove if I just call. He could also cold call w/ some pos hand and stack the rest off if he flops something. There's also the value that if the BB shoves, the button could potentially isolate and put a lot of money in the pot, in which case I technically would have him trapped.

lol at everyone saying fold the flop, shove it in all day long. This is why you slowplay AA pre....

Haha yes, shove it in on the worst flop ever and into a calling range that has you crushed.
