Because I'm stupid and made a UMD thread. Not too confident with this year's Terp team, no depth down low, no consistent 3-point threat, etc. F Duke, etc etc, I gotta go pick up my friend from the bar. Put all your ACC bball thoughts and predictions here!

Very curious to see how State develops the rest of the season. I had them at third in the ACC preseason (behind UNC & Duke) but something isn't right with them in the early goings from a chemistry standpoint. Normally I wouldn't think much of the Pack dropping an early game to a far inferior team (it is their tradition) but the comments after the game about guys "worrying about minutes" raised a few red flags. Hickson is obviously talented and probably their best player, but there seems to be some friction with him getting so many touches and minutes. My early ACC predictions:

1.) UNC
2.) Duke
3.) NC State
4.) Clemson
5.) UVA
6.) Maryland
7.) Boston College
8.) Florida State
9.) Georgia Tech
10.) Virginia Tech
11.) Miami (Fl.)
12.) Wake Forest

I'll agree Wake's not going to be that good this year, but putting them at 12 is wrong.

We arguably had the best recruiting class of the summer, including three 5-stars. So if we're not good this year, we're going to be alot better next year.

I really had no idea how to rank Wake, Virginia Tech, and Miami so I just threw them in a random order. I saw/read that Wake looked ehh against a pretty bad NC Central team.

The recruiting class you guys have coming in next year will definitely help a lot. I really like Aminu and wanted him to come to UNC. I'm not as high on Ty Walker as some others, but either way he'll be able to provide some good defense in the post.

maryland just lost to my tigers....trying to be nonbiased they looked pretty sloppy to me , lots of turnovers and poor shooting imo

Good lord: Maryland 1-for-17 from deep after going 1-for-11 last night. Vasquez and Hayes combined for 0-for-14 tonight.

Tech has lost to greensboro and winthrop so far, and needed a long three with two seconds left to beat notre dame after trailing the entire game.

edit: you guys have no post presence and will live and die by the 3. i don't see how you'll be able to grind out close games.
