Good spot for a river checkraise?....(400nl)

Villain is like a 44/22 donkkkkkkk.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (5 handed)

Hero ($757.50)
Button ($526.70)
SB ($396)
BB ($281.90)
UTG ($400)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises to $12, Button calls $12, 2 folds.

Flop: ($30) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $20, Button calls $20.

Turn: ($70) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $54, Button calls $54.

River: ($178) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $144 or checkraises....

Just seems like alot of two pair hands etc. would bet and maybe call a shove. While if I bet strong they will just call. So is a check more ideal in this spot?

Checkraise seems good. He may even bet/call with KQ.

I think you need a good postflop read in order to make this a profitable play, does he call a cr all day with AQ/twopair?

If I'm not sure I'd just lead.

bet

I'd be sick if it was checked down ... throw something out there and let him hang himself.

Like jkkkk said, you need a good postflop read. You need to know his tendency to try and steal a pot away from you.

You don't have enough information to c/r, just bet

depends how aggro he is. alot of donks will check behind once the backdoor flush/str8 possibilities arrive, so i think betting is better here.

Uggg, c/r is bad imo.

Some critical info is missing though, if his WTSD% is like 30%+, then maybe.

I will lead here almost always.
