an easy question: how does the kill work in omaha/8?

i think i'm gonna start playing the 3/6 at commerce but they have a kill and i think a half kill option and i've never played with that before. can somebody explain to me how it works and how it will affect me strategy-wise.

awakuni - When somebody scoops a pot above a certain amount the limits on the next hand are doubled and the person who scoops the pot owes a blind post to the next pot. How big the pot has to be to qualify for a kill differs from casino to casino. A sixty dollar or more scooped pot typically qualifies the next pot to be a kill pot.

For example if the person in seat #7 scoops pot that has $60 in it, then $6 of the $60 is a required post for the next pot. If the button is at seat #1, then in a 3/6 game at Commerce, which has a double blind structure, the person in seat #2 posts the small blind ($1), the person in seat #3 posts the big blind ($3), and the person in seat #7 posts the kill blind ($6). Then the action goes around the table, seats #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, #1, #2, #3.

In Las Vegas games (and everywhere else I have played in Nevada), the kill poster acts last, but in Los Angeles area games, the kill poster acts in the regular seating order.

All Omaha games at the Wynn the kill acts in turn, however it is a half kill. In the 10-20 the pot must be $100, and in the 20-40 the kill is on any scooped pot.
