should I get tricky with AA here vs. mattg1983 (22 rebuy)

Mods feel free to move to the regular MTT forum if you want but I posted it here because I thought people in this forum would know more about this opponent. I know he's a regular at high-stakes MTT's, he doesn't know me from Adam (I assume). He's been at the table for 2 or 3 orbits with me and I haven't shown down a hand yet but I've taken down a couple of pots.

I feel like cold-calling here turns my hand face-up if he knows I'm a thinking player but if he thinks I'm some punter then probably calling is better.

Just shove, he doesn't raise light and he will put you on AK so hard.

yea esp if he doesn't know you he'll think your range is real wide and his is real tight

think reads on the blinds determine whether this is a cold call, matt probably isnt opening light and shoving will usually get his chips in

I think people call too much here, he figures to have a hand raising up front just try to get it in now before a bad flop scares him off. In particular, not getting it in preflop against AK here is a disaster.

also the average is like 16k at this point in the 22r? cant imagine matt is raise/folding or unwilling to gamble here

this is probably one of the few places i reraise aces after the first hour tbh

i have trouble thinking of a hand that a tight-solid player opens utg+1 with 21bbs and then folds to a shove.

the few hands that don't get it in pf are also going to be the hands that won't get it in on the flop unless they flop huge so you are not passing up much value when those hands fold but you are getting a lot of value when they call

get it in here before something scary falls and you don't get any more chips.
