10/20. Committed? Thoughts on line?

Not much history at table. Mako has been in alot of pots. But that doesn't necessary tell me anything.

POKERSTARS GAME #12481337806: OMAHA POT LIMIT ($10/$20) - 2007/10/06 - 23:38:34 (ET)

Lefty2506: ?????????????????? about 1100 left

1) Do you call your last 1100? Its tough to fold.. but its also a spot where you can be pretty far behind more than you'll be far ahead I think. Also what kind of hands would you put in Mako's range here?

2) Do you bet the flop differently? I can think of a number of ways to play this flop given that I have position.

Results on link... please post first though.
Idiot straight?

Thanks.

Re: The Middle Child: How do you play this Straight?

Tough spot with top two as well. I'd want to know my equity vs nut straight with flush redraw. I don't see this play with a naked FD or Set, so either Str. w/FD or Set w/FD is the range I put him on.

Any sort of in-depth analysis into the hand aside, I think that you have to snap call this situation. The 2nd nuts with top 2 - after you have already commited almost 1/2 of your affective stack to the hand - should always warrant the AI in this spot. I put his range somewhere in the AAxx with spades or KKxx with spades range but maybe I have just been playing way too much HU lately...

You're ahead much more often than you think here - snapcall is about right. Most of his range is hands you crush.

Re: The Middle Child: How do you play this Straight?

i think he has nut flush draw here with overpair. i really think he would lead out on the flop with a hand like top set or nut straight to charge any potential draws.

if you knew he had nut flush draw with an over pair, you would gladly call. your getting like 2/1 with about 20% equity.

its a great play by villan if he has nut flush draw. if he has nut straight, then you still have fullhouse outs.

your only in bad shape to top set.

i call.

i dont see what else villan is 3 betting out of the blinds with.unless he's a maniac. he got to have some sort of suited pocket ace hand.

if he has the nut straight and nothing else, you're almost priced in (you lose like 90 bucks). So if he ever has anything else, which he certainly can, snap call.

This pretty much covers it. The pot odds you're getting are way more important than any kind of read here.

Re: 10/20. Committed? Thoughts on line?

It's Mako shoving, that's a pretty easy call even without looking at stack sizes.
