AK against unknown (200 6max)

Villain just sat down, no read.

Hero checks, Button insta-bets $52.25,

My plan was to check and call a small or medium sized bet on the turn and probably block the river. When he auto-bet pot it confused me. Is a fold right here? Is pushing horrible?

I'd say there's way to much out there to call an unknown with TPTK and no real redraws. You're plan was to call a small or medium sized bet, this isn't one. Stick to the plan.

Pushing is definitely horrible. Calling a PSB and folding or block/folding the river is awful, as is check-calling a river push. Folding, by contrast, can't be that wrong.

Leading the turn for 2/3-3/4 pot sounds pretty good. It's more or less a bluff, though.

Fold. I would fold to a medium sized bet too (40% pot or more). People like to bet that way once they hit the draw and dont want to chase you away from the pot. Villain might have worse than AK here but its a slim chance with no reads.

I think it's kind of close despite what others are saying, but i fold also.

he had to call u on the flop with something right? AT, TT, or 9x seem to be the likely hands to call you with that would fire that bet on the turn...all you really beat is a bluff here.

I can't imagine him having any hand we beat here. I think a fold is good.
