I have some questions about Poker Stars

If I make a second account on a friends computer and use it on my computer will there be trouble?

Are the restrictions one account per person or computer?

If it is one account per computer would support allow me to change my user ID?

Two last questions I am 20 years old and I'm interested in making a real money account there, must I wait till I am 21 and which sites are 18+?

Thanks

One account per person. Although, if you use his account from your IP, Poker Stars may stop you from playing cash games or SNG's together. Then again, they only care about real money. Probably couldn't care less about play money.

I'm not sure if it's legal or not, but plenty of ppl who are under 21 play online poker.

Read their T&C. It's all there.

Terms of service, introduction: 18+

You should always read the terms of any poker site before signing up. I bet you will be surprised.

Wow, thanks a lot for taking the time to answer all of my questions. I'll take your advice from now on.

The thing is the first account was created by my brother and I can't change the name under the account. That's why I was wondering if I could make a second account for myself. From your answers I'm assuming I can do this without PS getting on my case, am I right?

It looks like a silly question after you answered it already, but I want to be 100% in the clear.

Is the first account yours or your brothers? If you log into it after creating a "second" account for yourself that is a clear violation of the Ts&Cs. If you leave that old acount to your brother and never log into it again and only use the new account, your violation of the Ts&Cs are all in the past, and it would be OK going forward. If you took over your brother's account and he doesn't use it anymore, consider contacting PokerStars and explaing the situation and having them close the old account (your brother could do this), and then you can open your own account free and clear.

I don't know what you're getting at. Hope this helps.

I'd just contact Pokerstars and follow their reccomendations.

Listening to us speculate might get you screwed.

They won't let you play two play money accounts from the same IP address in the same game either.

Thanks for all of the advice guys, I got the situation worked out. I emailed support and told them the situation they in turn let me open another account from the same computer.

I see now why people say their support is the best. They were fast in replying and of course the best outcome came about as well.
