Guy is a regular who lovesss to 3bet. this is the first time I called his 3 bet.

Anyone prefer a drawier board to shove on?

Yeah, if you're calling preflop you gotta make moves like this some of the time to make up for the lack of direct pot/implied odds preflop.

My guess is the pot gets so big on the turn that we are in trouble, and he folds QJ/QT to a push, and he is usually folding.

Ugly,, looks like me while tilting. Facing a light 4-bettor (not a maniac who can't fold) it's much better to 4-bet light of float on the flop then to shove a hand who will never be called by worse and when called always have really bad equity. 88 is far ahead of his range if he's 4-betting light, and it's so on the flop to obv because he's range is virtually the same as pre. Eights got good showdown-value, just call it.

Btw, if you gonna raise on the flop (don't do it here, especially without any other read then that he's 4-betting light, and it's stupid to turn your hand into a bluff here) there's no reason to go all-in. If you make it $85 instead, wich hands would he go all-in with that don't beat you or wouldn't have called the all-in? If villain plays somewhat sound he's shovingrange over the $85 raise would be the same as he's callingrange for the all-in, and every hand in those ranges beats you so you could fold if he pushes over the $85 raise, hence saving money while behind and gain the same while ahead. But again, both plays are ugly here.

No one is folding a Q here. Maybe 99-JJ (probably not), but definitely not a Q
