I'm assuming you're a 6-33 buyin player, correct me if I'm wrong.

20-40 buyins are most common for this buyin level. More or less isn't unheard of.

A few hundred games is a good sample, 300-500. If you're a marginal winner or loser then a lot more. (Also note that learning and improving your game will negate a lot of previous samples).

10% ROI is a good number to shoot for at 6-33 levels. You can get over 20% but 10% is good. Very dependent on learning ability, tilt control and variance, and your real winrate can and will change often.

These are very general questions, for more specific answers use the search function and read the FAQ.

I think I'm going to bookmark this thread as reference for future threads (I know there will be more) unless anybody has a problem with my answers.

i dont play with less than 100 but you have to decide for yourself what you feel comfortable with.

500+ games is definately a good samplesize

WOW you have a bankroll of 100 times your buyin level? Why do you need such a huge overlay sir? Usually 50 times your buyin is more then enough. You must have had some pretty [censored] swings in the past that you need such a huge bankroll.

I personally use my 40 times the buyin rule. I also would like to have had at least 500 HU sng's under my belt before I would make any predictions on my future ROI's to be expected.

I need at least 100 buy-ins for heads up sng's .
1000 buy-ins for 9 player sng's
10,000 buy-ins for mtt's

I just can't imagine having a risk of ruin of 0.0000000000001%

Poker is not about maximizing the expected logarithm of your bankroll . It's about minimizing your risk of going broke .

I don't care about making profits .
I never want to go broke .
