100NL: Reraising AQs and missing

I didn't have any stats on this guy before the hand, so I guess what I need is advice as to whether this is a good play or not versus an unknown.

I know already the c-bet pot-committed me w/ no pair OOP because of villain's stack size, and I guess that's bad, but one would assume he'd have to have a pretty good hand to call the bet. I'm pretty sure I have to call the all in, but comments are welcome.

Yeah, I know, I suck. Should I have just called the preflop raise because of the villain having a half-stack?

NP Very standard,

No way you are just calling preflop..

I think 3betting preflop is fine. On the flop, just shove. If you are going to bet/call in this situation, you should just shove and have more fold equity.

if you want to 3bet it vs his stack size make it bigger so you can comfortably shove the flop.

Agreed. Another good plan is to raise pre to $9 or so, which means you have the option to b/f flops like this v trustworthy opponents.

The way you played it preflop has to be wrong just because you leave awkward stack sizes whenever you miss, that is most of the time.

Against a half stack donk what hands push over your bet but don't call a push?
