I dont get whats going on here.

Just shove the turn. There are enough hands/draws he can put you on to call with worse.

If we're just calling the turn its bc we think hes bluffing often enough and will continue on the river.

Well the river completes MOST semibluffs and is a great bluffing card if he missed, so rather than push to get called by 2pair (which, if we thought a large part of his range, we should have pushed the turn) check to let him bluff.

If no money goes in on the flop get more in on this turn, you have to protect too many card in the deck murder your action. If your beat your beat just find a way to commit your self and villan by the turn.

TBH I felt like I was going to be beat a pretty large percentage of the time on the turn, and I was thinking I might be exercising some pot control if I just called. I didn't realize the pot was as large as it was, and kind of panicked.
