do you chop? no, i prefer to play my five deuce offsuit, kthx

live game is tightish with a couple loose spots but everyone is terrible. it folds to the sb. i have seen him do things like donk middle pair into a field of 5.

he asks if i want to chop[**]. i shake my head no[***]. he completes, i check 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

*FLOP* is 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
he checks, i bet, he calls.

*TURN* is 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
he donks, i raise, he calls.

*RIVER* is 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
he donks

[**] when it folds to the blinds in a live game, players will often agree to just take their blinds back and move on to the next hand. this is called chopping.

[***] blah blah table image, blah blah can't beat the rake. i've read more about it than you care to imagine (b&m forum ftw) and i don't care: hu is fun. opening from the sb against a nit in the bb is super fun. the "tags" make huge mistakes hu, and the fish are trivial to exploit (i have showdown value i bet.)

(and btw, that "no flop, $1 drop" bs at bay101 makes me want to punch babies.)

grunch

Raise the river. The 7 doesn't change anything. He would 3 bet with the other 2 on the turn.

raise river 7 doesn't complete any thing. 56 already had a straight.

No flop one dollar drop is ridiculous... Ill punch babies with you...

raise preflop. since you didn't, check the flop, the pot is to small for even a semi bluff.

as played, call the turn and fold the river.

Even though the 1$ drop when there’s no flop is absolutely ridiculous, I’m still chopping 52o.

Villain in this hand doesn’t like his hand, since he asks for a chop, but he still likes it enough to complete.
What makes you think you’ll get anywhere with 52o HU unless you raise it preflop and bet every single thing that comes at you to get him to fold?
52o is one of the absolute worst hands HU there are. Take the chop. It’s better for your table image, and it’s +EV in the long run with 52o.

I sincerely hope you lost the hand.

benny, i hope you're levelling, because i have you as 0 for 4 there

chopping discussions aside, i mean, since i'd chop often and obviously with this hand. but given that he wanted to play.
