Re: How to play mraginal hand from the SB
bets 400, if u didnt notice u are now splitting vs any aces except aq,ak (both of which are quite unlikely due to pf action). further u probably got a chaser squeezed beetween u and positionbettor. if u arent comfortable playing these spots just fold pf.

What kurtkatt said.
Fold this flop. If your going to complete, play it for implied odds on 2 pair/fd/sd or better, long haul you will find these hands huge -EV if overplayed, especially calling. |
Re: How to play mraginal hand from the SB
im not folding this i may bet turn to charge flush draw bc i think we are splitting

Re: How to play mraginal hand from the SB
kerk,
pf and flop are fine. MP3 bet of 100 means little. You're probably best here, but with players yet to act a call is good. Turn card is ok for you(I actually think it kinda sucks since no one really has A9-AJ often here). Leading is good, but I dont mind a check/evaluate either. For me, playing marginal hands oop is all about continually giving myself the chance to evaluate my standing in the hand w/out over committing myself to the pot. This means that "charging draws" becomes a little less important than simply getting to showdown, or giving mysellf the chance to get away cheaply if all hell breaks loose. Hopefully, that makes sense. |
