How can I edit FTP player notes...?

I'm looking for a way to edit my FTP player notes but there's no Notes.txt file like I'm used to on Party.. and I'm looking to take notes on players that aren't necessarily playing (thats a hassle anyways...).

Help!?!?

On the FullTilt front page, click on "requests", then "find player". Type in the players name and then you should be able to click on a "players note" tab and add/edit whatever you need to.

alright thanks this helps... but these notes aren't able to be saved in a file of any sort are they? or are they permanantly your notes forever on FTP even after installs or playing on different computers?

Inside your Full Tilt Poker folder there is a DAT file called "(your username)". You will need to copy this file to other computers that you want to access the notes on. They are NOT "permanantly your notes forever on FTP even after installs or playing on different computers."

Will I need to backup this file through FTP updates?

If you're asking if the file will be deleted when FTP releases an automatic update to their software, no.

I tried to backup this file and I see no player names. I only see exactly what I've typed in.
i.e. I see "bets flush draw" "slowdowns aces" what are 2 different notes on 2 different players.
In fact there isn't a single space between the two notes.

Here's what it looks like: "bets flush drawslowdowns aces"

Is it broken or how does the sw know where each note ends? And how does the sw know the noted player?

The file isn't really readable when you open it, it just works. Save the file, then try it on another computer (or another user account if you don't have another) if you don't believe that it will work (it should).

I wrote some code to read/write FTP notes file format. Information about it in this post:

I'm writing a small program to use this to allow editing FTP notes and transferring them between computers if interested.

Sign me up, i'm interested in a tool that will update the file with say notes done by pen and paper. A graphic user interface or batch to update the file would be nice. In exchange I have under some time summarized starting hand ranges for every position for some limits at FTP by mining and then sql queries against the PT db's, done a while ago but is easely updated, covers 0.5/1-2/4 limit 6max.
